Adelphian (St. Bonaventure's College)
Jump to contentThe Adelphian was the school magazine of St. Bonaventure's College, St. John's and was published from 1904 to 1982. The collection shown here was digitized from the holdings of the College archives and the Centre for Newfoundland Studies.
The Adelphian contains annual reports, lists of prize winners, sporting news and, notably, stories, articles, book reviews and poems by students. This content is indexed in the PAB.
The College was run by the Irish Christian Brothers from 1859 to 1962. From 1962 to 1998 it fell under the Roman Catholic Board of Education at St. John's. And since 1999 it has operated as a private school under the name St. Bonaventure's College.
