Diocesan Magazine
The Diocesan Magazine was a monthly publication of the Church of England, it began in 1889. The magazine reported the various church activities of the communities of the diocese (which included all of Newfoundland) and by incorporating with the Diocesan Magazine the S.P.C.K publication, "The Dawn of the Day" it "endeavoured to meet the demand for suitable and sound literature".
In January 1959 the magazine changed its name to The Newfoundland Churchman which was in the form of a tabloid but was intended to serve the same purpose as the original.
