Jump to contentThe Feildian is the yearbook of Bishop Feild College, Bond Street, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. Bishop Feild College was founded by The Rt. Rev. Edward Feild, Bishop of Newfoundland, in 1844. The first yearbook (magazine) was published in 1893 by the headmaster of the time Dr. William Walker Blackall. It was called The Church of England College Magazine which later became The Feildian. In the Feildian there are articles, photographs and student writing portraying the history of the college through the years. There are a number of pieces about both world wars as Feildians were prominent in these conflicts. The Feildian contains a timeline of Newfoundland's acceptance into the Canadian federation.
