This is a history of the pioneer families of Fortune, as well as connections in Grand Bank, Lamaline,
Burin, Garnish, St. Lawrence, Jacques Fontaine, Harbour Mille, Brunette, Bay L’Argent, Great Harbour,
Stone’s Cove, Anderson’s Cove, Little Bay West, Hare Harbour, Jersey Harbour, Sagona and others.
Some families have no obvious connection with Fortune but are included as a matter of interest.
Nearly 1400 pages cover around 300 families, listed in alphabetical order.
