Newfoundland Bulletin
Jump to contentWhen published as the Newfoundland War Savings [Savers] Bulletin, this paper encouraged the purchase of savings stamps and certificates as well as containing articles on health, agriculture and coop news. As the Newfoundland Government Bulletin, it contained some local news and information on the activities of government departments. Under the Smallwood administration, it publicized various government projects and programs and generally painted a rosy picture of economic conditions and the fisheries situation. It had articles on Newfoundland history, personal portraits, and a section on children who were available for adoption.
